Strokes are No Jokes – Part 1

On the morning of May 4, 2022, while waxing kitchen floor, all of sudden I started to feel strange, and my ears started ringing. Having high blood pressure, I instinctively reached for the blood pressure machine. Unfortunately, the batteries were low. I grabbed some batteries and attempted to load them, but they fell out of my hand. I knew I was in trouble. I grabbed my phone, but for some reason, I couldn’t dial 911. Miraculously, I managed to dial my son’s work number, and I told him that I was in trouble. While waiting for the ambulance to arrive, I kept repeating simple phrases to myself, because something was off with my speech. An hour later, I was in the hospital, where I remained for two weeks. I had a stroke.
